Use eye and skin protection when splashes can occur.
Use in a well-ventilated area. Similar to acetone in solvent properties, but less volatile (b.p. 116C, compared with 56C).

Note: A solution/mixture of <5% methyl isobutyl ketone is not hazardous according to the Worksafe list of designated hazardous substances.
