Forms explosive mixtures with combustible materials or organic compounds; reacts violently with water to form chromic acid.
"Chromic acid", prepared by mixing a metal chromate or dichromate with concentrated acid, was once used widely as a glass cleaning mixture.

It is a highly dangerous material and other cleaning methods (detergents or suitable solvents) should be used instead.
