Highly toxic if ingested; cumulative poison; toxic fumes released on heating.
Deliquescent solid which reacts with water to evolve hydrogen chloride gas. Corrosive to most metals. Where toxic fumes/gases given off, use in a fume cupboard if practicable; otherwise use small quantities (<50 mL or g) in a well-ventilated area.
Note: A solution/mixture of <5% antimony chloride is not hazardous according to the Worksafe list of designated substances.
