79-06-1 		Highly toxic if ingested; probably carcinogenic. Use eye and skin protection when splashes can occur. Polyacrylamide gels can be purchased for electrophoresis of DNA avoiding need for the monomer.

Note: A solution/mixture of <3% acrymide is not hazardous according to the Worksafe list of designated substances.
