Amides are solids or high boiling point liquids.
Amides are generally less toxic and less irritating than amines but exposure to them should still be limited, taking precautions to protect the skin and eyes.
Acrylamide is unusually toxic by all exposure routes and should only be used in a fume cupboard with great care.
