Not Hazardous
II 3106
105-74-8
Moderately toxic if ingested; skin irritant; flammable.
Use eye and skin protection when splashes are possible. Reacts violently with reducing chemicals. Do not heat the solid on its own, as it may decompose violently.
Use in preference to benzoyl peroxide. Can be used to catalyse the polymerisation of methyl methacrylate to form perspex. This reaction is highly exothermic if the concentration of organic peroxide exceeds 1% by weight.
