Use in a fume cupboard if practicable, otherwise use small quantities in a well-ventilated area.
Use eye and skin protection when splashes are possible. Lower boiling-point fractions contain highly toxic benzene. Use higher boiling-point fractions, if possible, in order to reduce fire risk. Used in chromatography experiments.
