Highly toxic by all routes of exposure; cumulative poison.
Use eye and skin protection where splashes can occur. Use in a fume cupboard if practicable; otherwise use small quantities (<10 mL or g) in a well-ventilated area. When reacted with acids, toxic hydrogen sulfide gas produced. Students 7-12 may undertake activities resulting in the precipitation of this salt. This does not include decomposition-related activities.
