Highly toxic gas with a pungent odour.
The exposure to low levels of ozone can cause symptoms that range from eye and respiratory irritation to headaches and nausea.
Ozone is generated by the high voltage discharge in the air by lighting and induction coils.
Ozone is also produced by photocopiers. Modern photocopiers can operate in areas with little ventilation with ozone being controlled by ozone filters. Good ventilation around photocopiers is recommended to control the heat and ozone produced.
